Install and connect Tor Browser

1. Download Tor Browser from the Tor Project. Choose your operating system and follow its installer. Avoid unofficial downloads and extra browser extensions.
2. Open Tor Browser and choose Connect. If the connection is blocked, open connection settings and request a bridge.
3. Open the Tor connection check in Tor Browser, then visit a non-sensitive site to confirm it loads.
4. Review the browser’s Security Level if your task needs stricter restrictions. Test whether the site still works.

Check the result

The official check should confirm a Tor connection. Keep the task inside Tor Browser; other applications are not automatically routed through it.

Limits

Logging into a personal account identifies you to that service. Tor Browser is not officially available for iOS. Downloaded files opened in another application may use a different connection.
